Dear First Grade Parents and Families,
I am so happy to be part of the Culver community and I am thrilled to be beginning my eighth year as a teacher in District 71. I began my career at Culver teaching middle school history followed by four years teaching kindergarten. I am excited to see our students continue to learn and grow in first grade this year.
I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with endorsements in Language Arts and Social Science. More recently, I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Technology Leadership.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. I have been married for three years and we had our first child, Maeve, last December. We also have a dog named Gia and have recently inherited a cat named Socks. We spent many summer days at the pool,
library, going to our local farmer’s market, and visiting with all of our family. I come from a large family and believe that quality time together is very important.
Please do not hesitate to contact me via telephone at (847)966-9280 ext. 1144 or email at [email protected]. I check my voicemail and e-mail regularly and I will do my best to respond back to any questions or concerns you may have.
Sincerely,
Allie Mennella
